Abstract
Bentuk bodi mobil sangat mempengaruhi konsumsi bahan bakar, semakin aerodinamis semakin hemat konsumsi bahan bakar. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membuat bodi mobil hemat energi dengan konsep city car dengan maksud mengurangi drag pada saat mobil melaju. Tujuan penelitian ini juga dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan karakteristik turbulensi udara pada saat melaju di kecepatan 45 km/jam, karena analisa tersebut sangat berpengaruh terhadap konsumsi energi/bahan bakar. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara simulasi dengan menggunakan Computational Fluid Dynamic. Metode turbulance yang digunakan k-? dan menggunakan model meshing tetrahedrans. Simulasi mobil menggunakan kecepatan 45 km/jam. Dari data simulasi yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil yakni 0,39 dan karakteristik udara di sekitar mobil pada saat melaju
