Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik disalah satu SMP Kecamatan Paguyangan dengan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal kebun teh Kaligua outdoor activities, fokus materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebab penelitian tentang Problem Based Learning berbasis kearifan lokal belum banyak dilakukan. Jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre test post test non equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian yaitu kelas VII disalah satu SMP Kecamatan Paguyangan tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 terdiri dari 5 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Sampel yang terpilih kelas VII C sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah 26 peserta didik dan kelas VII D sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah 25 peserta didik. Analisis kemampuan awal berpikir kritis peserta didik melalui hasil pre test, sedangkan hasil tinggi tidaknya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dilihat melalui hasil post test. Uji t menunjukkan hasil sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05 simpulannya terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis kearifan local.
